as for my addition to the things that you should know....

Before Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth had the record for most home runs, some guy named Roger Connor had it. Played for the Troy Trojans, New York Giants, Philadelphia Phillies and finished up with his 138th in 1897 for the St Louis Browns.
