The issue isn't Maduro or the quality of the oil, the issue is the massively increased chance Venezuela falls into a civil war which is what most that know more than us are predicting, Venezuela hasn't been freed from a dictator, they just exchanged one for another
You need to realize this is a region dominated for decades by left wing extremists, FARC and the Shinning Path are literally next door, there isn't any likely end to this but a long bloody war
