Why not reduce the confusion and simplfy the debate by focussing on the primary cause i.e. world overpopulation. Then, everything else becomes secondary.

For my money, I prefer to get behind some of the UN objectives to stabilize population eg. promote birth control, etc. To me it doesn't make sense to focus on reducing CO2 levels, while the root cause continues to expand with very little attention.
