I just finished watching the Undiscovered Country. BTY SciFi is playing a marathon of Trek movies this weekend.

And for some reasons for me, when I look at the Original Trek movies and the Next Generation and the Abrams movies. Star Trek VI to me is the best of Trek.

Maybe its because the ensemble cast just works. Sure most of the actors outright hated Shatner. But on the screen this felt like a crew that had grown old together and knew each other and loved each other.

Maybe it was little things, like seeing Sulu commanding his own ship and some of his great moments "Fly her apart then" "Target that explosion and fire and more.

Maybe its the ease that Shatner was Captain Kirk, but the talk on the way to the peace conference between Shatner and Nimoy was the best of all possible worlds for Trek.

Even the "Guests" Catrell and Plummer put in awesome performances, especially Plummer as the Shakespeare quoting Scenary chewing General Chang.

I admit, I got misty eyed with the ending with the conversation between Sulu and Kirk as a good bye. The spoke line "If I were human my response would be go to hell" Kirks, final log and the ending credits. I still get emotional to this day.

As awesome as TWOK and Search for Spock was, this movie makes you emotional
