Flames have to get better at handling, and embracing younger players who haven’t been pushed through the system for years of development. Which is fair, Zayne is the first one since Tkachuk to do it, but it’s a young league and so as much as it’s “Zayne has to be better”, the organization needs to learn how to onboard and embrace true young players unseasoned by the Wranglers etc.
There’s lessons in how defeated/down Zayne very openly admits to feeling - and damn good on him for answering questions in his own, unfiltered words. |
Not really sure how the Flames could do a better job developing him, he should have been playing in the AHL this year, which unfortunately he is not allowed, that isn't the Flames fault.
