It was interesting to see how many new channels were created this summer, they all have similar looks and feels and I believe they are all AI generated garbage. It was also interesting to see the 2011 channel but it looks like it was dormant until recently. Like one of these AI misinformation channels went out to find an existing account to add credibility.

Then I saw this video and it made me feel a bit better about being overly suspicious.



It just feels like it is going to be harder and harder for people to stay informed. Corporate media is feeding you their stories tilted toward the outcomes that they want you to come to and then if you run away from them to try and find other sources of information, you will then run into this collection of AI misinformation channels.
Yeah, we're basically toast at this point. It's probably too late for government intervention, especially since many of the most powerful world governments are actively encouraging or participating in the misinformation campaign. We're left hoping for one of the tech giants to benevolently start using their own AIs to screen out this crap from their platform. But that will never happen unless there is some economic reason for it to happen, which seems unlikely. The whole thing is depressing.
