Not a great excuse. With a Hollywood budget, you could build a ship. Historical ships and boats are typically built by amateurs with at best a museum budget. I literally know people who built a viking ship like that on their spare time.
Ugghh, the Phaeacians give him a ship for the journey home, they are mythical. Why would mythical (advanced seagoing) people be required to have the same boats as greeks at the time? You are making a judgement on a movie based on 15 seconds of a scene in which you have no context, perhaps the 3 hour long film will answer your questions.
You probably complained that the character in Jumanji was a sexist representation based on the trailer, only to find out the movie used it to make fun the stereotype.
