Once the heated wire matrix in the glass is disturbed (rock chips and cracks), you're done, and the only way you're fixing it is by replacing the windshield. Assuming this is not a new windshield, of course. I have to get mine swapped out in the spring once the pea gravel is cleared off the road.

Well that's good to know, and it looks like a BC provincial inspection will work for the Alberta OOP within 90 days.
