I get it though. If you consider it a pure pipeline evaluation, they you only care about players not on the roster. If you're only watching the NHL team, this gives you insight into what is coming next. And then age really doesn't matter.
Not saying I would do it this way, but I understand the theory. You would have to pair an analysis like this with the potential of the existing NHL roster.
