Florida was seen as the laughing stock of the NHL, put together a competitive team and that all changes.
If the Flames build a winning team, and have a new arena, they will have no issue attracting free agents.
I don't think any free agent they would be looking to sign, 2,3,4 years down the road would go "Calgary has a great offer but they traded Kadri that one time when they were bottom 5 in the league while he wanted to be there...I shouldn't sign there"
