If you want to say 'given the circumstances, they did well', sure. But the circumstances are part of the equation.
The bottom line here is that Vancouver is worse today than they were yesterday. Hughes was, by a significant margin, the best player in the deal. If Buium becomes an elite player, then the scales tip. But until that point, VAN is a worse team. So grading them any higher than B (at best) is ignoring some of the facts.

Yeah their hand was forced because they have made mistake after mistake and Hughes didn't want to be there anymore. If they built a proper team around he they wouldn't be in that situation.
