Even the net-zero 2050 plans don't include the elimination of fossil fuels as the way to achieve this goal, though. While I'm in favour of environmentalist policies (more on the clean water aspect than on other things, to be fair), there is a point where these issues become politicized and more about ideology than what makes sense.
And, on a day like today, I want the energy to make sure that the furnace comes on!
