OK, kids complicate everything. I make mine in one pan, just do the meat after the egg if I'm fortunate enough to have the right meat around. One pan is less mess than that leaky lookin' machine. But it also doesn't poach the egg, it's fried-ish. Poached is a whole other mess. But fried eggs are also fine, you are just weird.
