Not sure where the "rock bottom prices" come from.
If we trade Andersson, I would rather trade him for a real blue-chip prospect (like Iginla or Desnoyers) with zero picks coming back, than a 24 year-old reclamation project and a late first-round pick. Even if we have to give up a 2nd and/or take on a bad contract to make it work.
Nobody wants to just trade guys to help the tank. We (I) want to trade guys for something that's going to help us dominate in a year or two, not help us stay in the middle right now and maybe get lucky with picking someone in the second round.
