If they end up trading him for a first how can it be so awful?

A team has never paid a price that high to move a single year of a players contract especially one who was 28 and came off his fist real down season. It is a price no one has paid before or after
Kadri getting the flames a 26-28 1st in the back half of the draft when the team is in year 3 of a rebuild doesn’t help as much as the 16th pick in 25.
I guess it will be easier to make final judgements once Kadri is moved but he has also helped the flames pick land 16th in 2 of his 3 years here when they should already be nearing the completion of their top 10 picks.
