I paid more like $63.88 USD (dollar was close to on par then, so about $70 CAD which is the equivalent of $92, according to BoC inflation calculator) for my wallet in 2014. It remains in perfect shape and I expect it to last at least another decade, if not for the rest of my life.

Yes, I would gladly pay $100 for a wallet I know will last. Changing wallets is a PITA and bad/broken down wallets will destroy your cards.

Plus, having a nice well worn in leather wallet gives you a lot more credibility than pulling out some canvas/velcro ordeal.
