Most of the funding for this was set to come from the Feds and the Province.
Instead, for the same budget, Calgary gets the arena and now needs to fund the remaining infrastructure out of its own budget.
Another example of why these decisions should be made by experts, and not the general population who gets their insight from social media.

It’s the Winter Olympics, but you think Calgary could squeeze in the facilities for the 40 other sports within the new rink budget?
