It's interesting you mention OCP. I had my call with the Psychiatrist this afternoon, and he confirmed the ADHD diagnosis but also suspects some Autism (Asperger's / High Functioning) and also mentioned OCP (but made a point of clarifying not OCD).
I have some assessments to complete and send back to him, and some other instructions for working on my ADHD. He's also confirmed that I should start taking the Vyvanse (but also reduce my Effexor dosage).
I'm excited and relieved to finally be getting some help. Also pretty terrified tbh. I'm really glad I posted about this here. The responses and messages have been amazing. This community we have here, man. I take it for granted a lot of times, but it's truly something special. There should be some kind of like Nobel award for people like Bingo who think up things like this and actually go through with it and keep the lights on etc.
Anyway, here's to moving forward...
