I haven't missed a game since 2008 ( unless I couldn't even sail the high seas to get it). Imissed a bunch of games in the 90s and early 200s as many games just were not broadcasted.
I still watch no matter what and I get through it and bear it like I do with any other media I consume . Just like bearing through a tough first season of a show to get the pay off for the rest of the series or playing a prollouge of a video game that takes hours on hours to get through but the other 30 plus hours are gold. You just watch so you know how the team got to the good times. 2011 to 2018 Flames were rough IMO and that still didn't turn out well all when things were said and done. Between 2010 and 2022 . Start of a rebuild to the demise of the fruits of that rebuild as a top 5 team in the leugue extingished by our biggest rivals.
I personally just put up with it. It's the highs and lows of sports that's no different then consuming any other media.Some shows I watch religiously have bad episodes and lots of them per season, some seasons are just pure gold. Some games I play are hit and miss along the way, some slow and boring then ramp up to the golden content and some are just pure misses that have a sprinkle of gems among the ash.
The Flames could be the next Sharks/ Blackhawks or the next buffalo who knows? Tune in next game for the final conclusion!!!!!

Weird and fun fact mother I kid you not , has taped every episode of General hospital and days of our lives since the late 70s as a teen so she dosen't miss an episode and fall behind. She did it for general hospital and all my children until the were canceled in 2011. Taped by day watched by night between some newr late night TV comedies and shows or the original binge watch on Sundays
