I think canceling the tax shift is a mistake. I only pay residential property tax not business tax, but I think the property tax burden on businesses (Especially retail) is getting significant enough that we need to do something or it's going to hollow out. Unless and until downtown offices start carrying the business assessments again, but I think we can't count on that.
