I'm no fan of Murray Edwards but even I can admit the team is on retool. They may not burn it to the ground as a rebuild, but I have issues with that anyway. I want some vets playing with the young guys coming up, lest they become the Sabres or worse.
Besides, there's no evidence yet, that they won't lean into it more and trade the likes of Kadri, Coleman and Ras.
I do suspect that Conroy has a tough time selling what he wants to do, but even then, Murry just extended him. So I'm willing wait and see.
