A 4-2-2-2 again yesterday with very little strength in midfield and no real width... and it showed right away in that match
Too many attacking options in the lineup and not enough actual strength in the form of box to box midfielders

Yeah, the setup was wrong and in some spots we are lacking to be fair. I am still disappointed with what we got in Bissouma, because I thought we were getting the “Brighton Bissouma” who looked incredible. That just never materialized.
But the problem is, the players look disinterested. The first half was abysmal, and that goes without saying. But you’re down 2-0 in a game that is basically a must win after the past couple weeks, and you would expect them to come out flying in the second half. It doesn’t happen though. They had a few moments, but it wasn’t great. The goal we scored was a nice ball from Bergvall and Kudus smashed it, but it was basically a goal out of nothing. Fine, maybe that inspires the players and we get rolling.
So what does Frank do? Triple substitution. The goal was out first shot on target, at the 60 minute mark, and we got one more. In other words we’re down 2-0, and the huge response you might anticipate resulted in two shots on target. Yes, we had a million crosses that were nowhere near guys, but the offence is just sputtering. Sometimes I think we should bring Ange back to run the offence and have Frank run the defence, but then again we’ve allowed 11 goals in the past week!
Anyway…I don’t know how many people here want to read about my thoughts on Spurs, so I’ll leave it at that. It’s going to be a long season.
