I think at some point soon, the Flames should probably address how well they are playing. Flames can't crawl out of the basement here.

If they finish 10th, then that's a shot in the foot. The value difference between moving up from 10th to 1st may be the difference of all the assets you get from Kadri + Andersson + Coleman. Even then, maybe it doesn't get done, depending on the ledges and the team with the pick.

However, I am sure this team takes a huge nosedive after the vets are traded-out. IIRC, it seemed to have happened a couple of seasons ago. Even if Rasmus wasn't the top defensive producer, and had a season like last year, this team would nosedive anyway.

Just enjoy the wins for now and don't worry about 'winning too much'. It looks like the Flames are going to be winning a lot based on the type of game that Huska has them playing. Everyone is dialed-in. I won't say that I am not a little worried in having the Flames vastly exceed expectations for a while and put themselves in a range that most wouldn't be happy with. However, I am completely not worried about the Flames not moving on from Andersson in an attempt to make playoffs. I don't think they will keep the band together, however.

My personal 'worry meter' is set at 2. I can enjoy every win guilt-free. Certainly helps with Nashville keeping pace lately too! I just don't see this team continuing to put up the points when Andersson gets traded. That alone will make them plummet.
