I don't even know what point you're arguing anymore. The Flames made him realistic offers (plural) to stay, he countered with an unrealistic offer and didn't budge, so they traded him.

But your example makes no sense because Dino said Lindholm made them an offer they could have signed. The person making the offer that could have been signed in the Lindholm scenario was the person offering 60K, not the one that moved up. You should read what you quoted again to see who allegedly made the offer that the Flames could have signed.
