I don't think that Lapierre or Turcotte would be 'cheap'. Lapierre was the AHL playoff MVP the last time he played a full season, and Turcotte was trending towards the 2C spot before all of the injuries.

But now Lapierre is shuffling along on the fourth line behind Stome, Sourdif and McMicheal, with PLD on the shelf. That's as buried as you can get. Turcotte is behind Kopitar, Danault and Byfield. Might be harder to pry out because Kopitar is in his swan song year.

Either way, I think that the Flames are owed a Bennett.
