My 11 year old has a $26 a month cell phone plan through Freedom. He uses the phone as a medical device for his type one diabetes. But the phone is old and in need of a replacement. Freedom doesn’t have anything close to $26 a month that includes a phone. The best I can find right now is getting in a line with my Telus account, which would be $65 a month including a new phone. That’s a lot more money than I want to spend. Right now he gets 1gb of data per month.
Is there any suggested plans or companies I should look at? He doesn’t need more than 1gb a month and he doesn’t need much in the way of talk minutes.
