I think it was meaningless BS, very badly delivered. I place no stock at all in anything any management person says to the media, unless they are directly addressing a move that has actually been made.
It's my considered opinion that Maloney should never be allowed near a hot microphone again, and moreover, he should follow Bean into the sunset. But I'm not going to judge the actions of the organization based on words when their words have proven time and again to be completely unconnected with those actions.

Many of their past actions do line up with the “Dallas model”. Not trading Andersson last year when a full on rebuild would have, given sky high prices for defenceman. I do believe them when they say that’s their goal, avoid drafting high while not making any additions and trade a few middling players when they won’t sign extensions.
Theres some nuggets of truth in what he’s saying. This team has been too incompetent for too long for it to all be lies.
