The die hards will want to attend games if there's hope (a top pick) or exciting hockey. Neither are happening right now.
What Maloney said makes almost no difference to the casual fan but the die hards won't be happy about this interview. The die hards know this team doesn't have it to go on a run so why not appeal to them and embrace a new fresh direction before the building opens?
