As I said, I think Conroy is being kept at arms length to not get pulled into anything, since Craig likes to talk. Plus he can be the “good cop” down the road.
Maloney steps up play the “bad” messenger for this because he knows he gone this season/long before Conroy as they rearrange the executive and he’s soon to be out…so he’s fine to take the heat.
