If you're a season ticket holder and spending thousands of dollars a year, it's a tough sell right now. I am sure the Flames front office is getting tonnes of feedback from season ticket holders right now and he was put out there to try and calm them down.
The fact of the matter is, and not to get all existential, but a lot of the people with the kind of disposable income to be a regular season ticket holders, are are likely in the age group that might not be around long enough to see the fruition of a long rebuild and the years that follow when the team is hopefully contending regularly.
I do wonder why Maloney is travelling with the team on this trip though.
