I thought it was a pretty simple message but I guess people just cannot fathom a long term consequence that will not be fun to deal with. Easier to just wave your hands and continue on with your life I suppose...and I get that, but the confidence to then throw it back at someone like a "gotcha" is incredible.
All those fake news organizations or "big ___ something or other" must have gotten to all those climate scientists one by one or something to make them all worry about the same trend.
I'm pretty sad these days with how quickly large swathes of the population seem to disregard experts in their field because it doesn't align with what they want to hear, and will seek out the small minority that may tell them what they want to hear instead. Depressing times.
