This is revisionist. Markstrom DID NOT want to be traded, that was the initial problem - IIRC, there was a potential deal that fell through because he nixed it.
THEN, after that initial mess, he got pissed off on how it was handled, and some comments that became public, and THEN he asked to be traded. And then it got done.
So it is technically correct that he asked for a trade, but it is also disingenuous, and the point you're making is wrong, because the whole thing happened BECAUSE the Flames tried to trade him when he wasn't interested in being moved.
