Unless the leafs go on a long playoff run (and at this point, they may not even make the playoffs), I think Treliving is done. Last year's trades were the end for him. I don't really blame him for losing Marner (though he wasn't able to retain him either, but it sounded like Marner was not willing to move and was going to UFA regardless).
However, he has moved a lot of assets for nothing that moved the needle. They are down to their last future assets and the team certainly looks like it is about to regress, with a rebuild looking like it is not too far off the horizon.
I bet he gets replaced. The more moves I see him make, the more I am convinced that he is just not a good GM, and the more relieved I become that he is no longer here making decisions.
