One guy I'm excited about getting a look at is Usama Young, the corner we took in the 3rd round out of Kent State. Sounds like a big, physical corner who also has the speed to keep up with quicker receivers, and reports say he's been turning heads in Saints camp so far. He wasn't even invited to the Combine but may turn out to be a steal(though I'll reserve judgement on that so far, I remember all the New Orleans scribes fawning over Mike Hass at this time last year and look how that turned out).

Of course I think Jason David will end up as the #2 CB when the regular season opens, but the Saints may have found their #1 corner of the future in Young to eventually replace McKenzie.
The Saints need to give their small school scouts a raise, as the guys they've drafted in the last two years have been phenomenal. With Young, Jones, Bushrod and Alleman likely to make the team, and compounding with Colston, Evans and Strief from the draft previous, the foundation of this org. has never been better. What an amazing shift in two years to the Payton philosophy of smart football players with high character, from the Haslett era of athlete over all else.
