This is where their lack of drafting/developing/asset management is really coming to bite them in the rear ends. Lets be honest, even at 90 percent of their peak, they are still world class players. They just haven't backfilled their decline enough with the rest of the roster.
The Oilers two young hotshot prospects aren't doing much. I think there were really banking on at least one of these two to breakout this year.
Isaac Howard. 3 points in 15 games.
Matthew Savoie. 2 points in 16 games.
The Oilers are what they are. They'll get into the playoffs, but they are in the decline era of their contender run.
