We'll know soon enough, but I also worry about this.
I also think they would not trade Lombo, if there is a market, because of all the marketing around him.
And regarding the other guys, we hear stuff like this all the time:
'He just signed here'
'We just acquired him'
'We just made him captain'
'He wants to be here'
In the real world people get relocated for jobs all the time. I was relocated once a few months before my wedding, then a year later when my wife was pregnant, and then shortly after my first child was born. My employer needed me to fix problems. I could either go and do the work, across the prairies and Ontario, or I could start looking for new work. That was part of the deal from day one when I took the job. My employer did not care about the fact of my family life, or the house I just bought. They got a relocation company involved, and pampered us during the moves. Neither me nor my wife ever complained.
I was making a lot less than in a year, than a single NHL monthly paycheck.
People can be such snowflakes about that stuff. These guys have the means to make anything easy, and the Teams help too.
