Initially not sure how they get 4-6 seasons out of this though, but you’d have to think something significant will change- perhaps their intentions aren’t quite as peaceful as it seems and/or Carol figures out how to get at least some out of it.

The “bad episode of Star Trek” line was perhaps intentionally tongue and cheek, as this is very similar to the episode ‘This side of Paradise’, where the crew and a group of colonists are infected by symbiotic spores, which made them all perpetually healthy and happy. In that case, you broke the spell completely by making them angry, whereas it just prompts a reset in Pluribus.

Yeh this was my thought, interesting concept, has some cool John Wyndham overtones but really difficult to see how they get much of a plot out of it long term and as US TV never ever allows anything to run it's course appropriately I fear it will end up getting flogged into oblivion (or maybe become Oblivion, at some point Tom Cruise turns up!!)
