I tip my cap to em. 13 seasons of
Al Capone's Vault is quite an achievement!
Went and read this entire thread, and it's mind blowing.
YOU are the treasure!!!
They have dug and explored and theorized for 13 years, and as long as they kept doing that, folks continued to watch. Believers, non-believers, family of non-believers... they got your eyeballs!
The "treasure" is that they made a decade and a half of a TV show they could sell to advertisers with basically zero budget and no actor unions because "for whatever reason people are watching this slog".
This isn't a critique btw. When you watch a show long enough, you start to feel a relationship with the people on it. So for some of you, it's just spending time out in the woods with your buddies without getting mosquito bites and Giardia. It's relaxing and gives you something to talk about.
Of course (as most viewers probably already know) There isn't / never was / never will be any pirate gold here. Other than your recurring attention.
