Regarding Mattingly, I agree with what some said, that he was the backup manager potentially in the waiting. Now that the new hitting coach Popkins has come in and been given credit for turning the team around, I’m pretty sure he feels left out and the lost man in all this. I don’t blame him if he feels like he has more to give. It takes a lot of balls to walk away and he seemed like a good man. I hope the best for him.
Regarding some of you hoping they get Cease, Skubel, AND Bo? You guys crazy? There will bidding for each of them. Truly, realistic beet case will be to get Bo. To get all would require a lot in prospect capital as well as dollars. This leadership team rarely does the most obvious thing and I don't think they do it here either.
