The teams they face over the next few weeks are not as tough as the last few weeks. Could see a stretch of winning here.
I could be wrong but over the last few seasons when the team has been rumoured to be willing to trade players (Markstrom, Lindholm, Hanifin, Zadorov, Tanev), it seems like Conroy rarely makes the move when the team is playing well or winning. I could see a win streak of 4-5 games cooling off trade rumours. For better or worse.

Which is kind of the problem...it's hard to suck that bad to get a top 5 pick.
Flames could easily win 5 straight to get back to .500, but that does them no good really.
94 points is the current playoff threshold.
Flames need 84 points in the final 67 games to get there, that's a .627 win percentage. Which with this 2 game win streak is much better than the .650 it was after Saturdays loss.
To get to 94 points they'd have to finish like 40-23-4 or 17 games above .500 the rest of the way.
So that's what's tough, a 5 game win streak gets them to the mushy middle, but they need like a 10 game win streak to truly get back into playoff contention, to to be consistent with enough to win 2/3 games the rest of the way
