He's quite different from the two old white guys he's up against with a platform for affordability with free transit, rent holds, and free child care. Plus the dreaded 2% tax increase for those with 7 figure incomes. He draws the ire of Trump and a lot of other republicans...and I think a few elitist democrats too.
I'm interested to see if he does win because I've been wondering if we don't see a much harder left rise up to take on MAGA. Part of me wonders how long until it get's violent.
Many states do have an exit tax for leaving....but I guess a Tariff for showing up is something new. Doesn't matter, these New Yorkers will just go to Florida...those with measly 7 figure net worth's might have to settle for Georgia or South Carolina. |
Exit taxes are not constitutional. There are no states with a direct exit tax. I don’t see how anything Abbott does would be constitutional.
