This is what confuses me about a lot of the complaints. I'm sure it's a case of a vocal minority, but I honestly thought this was the one Canadian fan base that could handle a rebuild without constant temper tantrums.
We'll see how the season develops, but it's possible that Kadri, Andersson, and Coleman are all moved this season. In recent history we've seen Mangiapane, Markstrom, Hanifin, Tanev, Lindholm, Zadorov, and Toffol all moved out with draft picks and young players looking for a new situation as the predominant returns.
I'd love to see Parekh (and Zary+Coronato to lesser degrees) get used differently, but I also think there's value in not just giving the young players free-reign without establishing key values, principles, and standards of professionalism. We laughed at the Oilers for years and years for being bad and fostering a losing culture.
This is a rebuild, the team overachieved in spite of it last year but this season so far is going as most would have / should have expected. There will be a LOT of growing pains going forward, I just wish they were more entertaining to this point.
