So how are you getting a run and two runners on from the lodged ball? It doesn’t become two hits instead of one.
The runner on third never really mattered. Unless you think it would have been a triple, it just doesn’t seem like a huge deal.
And honestly ground rule doubles are just a very routine part of baseball.
