I don't necessarily disagree with you, but aside from Wolf and Coronato, none of the Flames prospects have proven anything at the NHL level.
And Coronato has been terrible this year.
Rebuilds take time, and even successful draft picks often take 3-4 years to start producing.
It's why getting a McKenna could make a big difference.
If (when?) Calgary trades Andersson, Kadri and Coleman, Calgary will really bottom out hard, and likely will still be bottoming out in 2 years.
