There are many sports that are private (soccer, baseball, hockey, basketball) that are in non school clubs. Plus this only impacts junior high and high school. What extra curricular clubs are there really in elementary which accounts for 1/2 of the grades. I don't see elementary teachers impacted by this.

My oh my when you don't know you don't know. The elementary teachers have it the absolute worst of all!!!
Marking is far more tedious, expectations in terms of communication with parents is raised, students require far more on hands instruction, and yes, those teachers are expected to step up and coach teams at higher grade levels, run clubs, supervision, field trips just like everyone else.
