Just to expand on the Verhoeff thing- his 2024-25 season ranks 11th all-time for U-17 defensemen in the WHL, with 45 points in 63 games (Ryan Lin ranks 9th, with 53 in 60).
Since the turn of the century, only 3 defensemen posted more points in this category- Cam Barker, Ryan Lin, and Landon DuPont.
