When asked why they're rushing this through today, Horton said it was because it was the longest strike action "in education history".
That is absolutely not true. In 1980, the CBE teachers went on strike with about a month left in the school year and were eventually ordered back to work a month into the next school year. Even if you exclude the entire summer, that strike lasted for 41 teaching days. This one isn't even half of that.
Someone needs some edumacation.
