That's where having such a strong line up is tough.
With nobody on base that's 100% the move.
But with a man on walking Ohtani moves the runner into scoring position and puts the tying run on base with 1 out and Betts and Freeman coming up.
You either have to trust Scherzer could get out Ohtani - he already had a double and a HR off him tonight - or you go to the pen.
Going to the pen was likely the right move, Fluharty has had success against the top of the Dodgers lineup, but maybe just went to that well one too many times.
