Issue was Lafreniere and Kakko both didn't develop into anything, and then Drury lost his mind and tore apart a locker room for no reason.

Rangers are also a good case study in how not every draft year is the same. They bottomed out in similar fashion to the Oilers initial bottoming.
RNH, Yakupov, and to a lesser degree Hall.
Kakko and Lafreinier.
Not all years are equal.
Puts even more emphasis on why this is the year the Flames should bottom out. This year isn't one of
