Yeah, but to what end? Of course they aren't going to go 8-66-8.
Regardless of strength of schedule, the Flames aren't a top team in the league - and they'd effectively need to play like one to be a playoff team from here on out.
The strategic move is to embrace a lost season. Anything but doing that would be a poor choice, which would be why it's wise to move on from Naz and Raz in the near term. The Flames most valuable asset, bar none, is their 2026 1st round pick. Maximize the value.
